SAFE SHOPPING GUARANTEE
At Farehutz.ca, your trust matters to us. We are committed to protecting your personal information and employ reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational security measures to safeguard your data. However, no online platform or data transmission can be fully guaranteed as 100% secure.
If you believe that your account or interaction with us may no longer be secure—for example, if you suspect unauthorized access—please contact our customer support team immediately at +1-888-629-5559 or email support@farehutz.ca so we can promptly address your concerns.
GENERAL DISCLAIMER
Farehutz.ca, operated by Holiay Breakz Group LLC, serves as an intermediary between travelers and independent travel service providers, including but not limited to airlines, hotels, car rental companies, cruise lines, tour operators, activity providers, insurance companies, and other related vendors (collectively, “Partner Travel Suppliers”).
Supplier Responsibility
Partner Travel Suppliers are solely responsible for providing the travel services or products you purchase through our Site (“Travel Services”). Farehutz.ca does not own, operate, or control these suppliers and therefore cannot guarantee:
- The availability, quality, or performance of any Travel Service;
- The financial stability of any Partner Travel Supplier; or
- Reimbursement in the event of supplier default, bankruptcy, or service failure.
If a Partner Travel Supplier fails to deliver a service for which payment has been made, your sole remedy lies directly with that supplier, any insurance covering such events (if applicable), or any third party legally responsible—unless the issue was directly caused by Farehutz.ca.
Limitation of Liability
Farehutz.ca is not liable for:
- Any act, error, omission, negligence, or misconduct of Partner Travel Suppliers;
- Any injury, loss, accident, delay, damage, or irregularity arising from a supplier’s actions;
- Schedule changes, equipment changes, price fluctuations, or service modifications occurring after payment;
- Any consequences arising from circumstances beyond our control.
Once certain Travel Services—such as airline tickets—are issued, fees may apply for changes, cancellations, or refunds as determined by the Partner Travel Supplier’s policies. Ticket values may differ from printed amounts (including bulk fares), which is solely determined by the supplier.
Our Role as an Agent
Farehutz.ca acts solely as an agent or booking intermediary, facilitating reservations and purchases on your behalf. While we work collaboratively with Partner Travel Suppliers, our relationship with them does not constitute a partnership, joint venture, or shared enterprise.
Promotions and Discounts
Discounts and fares displayed on our Site may vary depending on factors such as travel dates, seasonality, airline policies, seat availability, class of service, and advance booking requirements. We do not guarantee the availability of any advertised promotion.
Third-Party Advertisements
Farehutz.ca does not endorse, validate, or guarantee any products or services advertised by third parties on our Site. Any interactions with third-party advertisers are solely between you and the advertiser.
PRICE MATCH PROMISE
At Farehutz.ca, we want you to feel confident knowing you’ve secured an excellent deal on your travel booking.
If you find a lower total price (including all taxes and fees) for the same flight itinerary on a Major Online Travel Agency (OTA) Competitor’s website on the same day as your booking, up until 10:00 PM EST, we will gladly match that price. We will either:
- Refund you the difference, or
- Cancel your booking in full and provide a 100% refund, if you prefer.
This is our Price Match Promise (“PMP”).
Have questions? We’ve outlined the details below.
What qualifies as “the same itinerary”?
A matching itinerary means every component must be identical, including:
- Airline(s)
- Flight number(s)
- Travel dates and times
- Routing and layovers
- Number of travelers
- Cabin or seat type
All elements must match exactly for the PMP to apply.
What does “offered and available for booking” mean?
The lower-priced itinerary must:
- Appear on a Major OTA Competitor’s website,
- Be viewable by the general public, and
- Be available for immediate booking at the time you contact us.
Our customer support team will verify availability in real time.
Who qualifies as a “Major OTA Competitor”?
For the purpose of this Price Match Promise, a “Major OTA Competitor” refers to English-language Canadian versions of the following websites:
- Expedia.ca
- FlightNetwork.com
- FlightHub.com
How do I request the Price Match Promise?
To submit a PMP claim, email us at support@farehutz.ca and include:
- Your Farehutz.ca booking number
- Complete details of the lower-priced itinerary (same airline, flight numbers, dates, routing, number of passengers, and cabin class)
- Supporting documentation, such as:
- Direct URL
- Timestamped screenshots clearly showing the fare and itinerary
Our team must be able to independently verify the lower fare from the information provided. Claims may be denied if documentation is incomplete or if the fare cannot be located.
Once verified, you may choose to:
- Keep your itinerary and receive a refund for the price difference, or
- Cancel your Farehutz.ca booking for a full refund.
Are there exclusions to the PMP?
Yes. The Price Match Promise does not apply to:
- Membership-only or restricted-access pricing
- Corporate, group, consolidator, meeting, incentive, or charter fares
- Rewards program rates or coupon-based discounts
- Military, student, government, or bulk fares
- Vacation package rates or “Web Only” fares
- “Opaque” fares where airline details are hidden until after purchase
- Tickets issued through bidding or auction-based platforms
- Pricing errors or obvious fare mistakes
Only published fares available to the general public qualify.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY / DISCLAIMER
All information, materials, and content provided on the Farehutz.ca website (including text, graphics, links, and other resources) are offered on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Farehutz.ca makes no warranties or representations of any kind, whether express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, timeliness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose of the Site or any services, products, or information made available through it.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Farehutz.ca and its affiliates, service providers, and distributors shall not be held liable for any damage to your computer system, device, software, data, or other property resulting from:
- Your access to or use of the Site,
- Your browsing of the Site, or
- Your downloading of any files, materials, or content from the Site.
Under no circumstances shall Farehutz.ca, or any of its providers or distributors, be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any special, indirect, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind—including but not limited to lost profits, lost savings, loss of data, business interruption, or replacement costs—arising out of or connected to:
- Your use of or inability to use the Site,
- Any content, information, or services available through the Site, or
- Any transactions conducted through the Site,
even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In all cases, the maximum aggregate liability of Farehutz.ca, its providers, and distributors shall not exceed the total amount of charges listed on the itinerary associated with the claim.
Any claim, dispute, or cause of action arising from your use of the Site—or from the purchase of any products or services through the Site—must be filed within one (1) year of the date the claim first arose or when the purchase was completed. Claims brought after this period will be considered waived.
Certain jurisdictions may not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion of certain types of damages. In such cases, portions of the above limitations may not apply to you.
Your continued use of the Site is entirely at your own risk.
INSURANCE DISCLAIMER
If you choose to purchase Travel Protection through Farehutz.ca, it is your responsibility to carefully review, understand, and agree to the specific coverage details, terms, conditions, and exclusions provided directly by the Travel Protection supplier. All insurance-related products are administered solely by the respective provider.
Farehutz.ca and Holiay Breakz Group LLC act only as facilitators in offering access to these products and assume no responsibility or liability for any actions, omissions, decisions, coverage determinations, or service issues made by the Travel Protection supplier. Any claims, disputes, or concerns related to Travel Protection must be directed to the insurer or provider responsible for administering the policy.
INDEMNIFICATION
By using the Farehutz.ca website and services, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Farehutz.ca, Holiay Breakz Group LLC, our affiliates, Partner Travel Suppliers, and all of our respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, demands, losses, damages, fines, penalties, liabilities, or expenses of any kind—including reasonable legal and accounting fees—arising from or relating to:
- Any claim brought by you or on your behalf that exceeds the limitations of liability set forth in these Terms and Conditions;
- Any claim brought by a third party resulting from:
- Your breach of these Terms and Conditions or any other policies, notices, or documents referenced on the Site;
- Your violation of any applicable law, regulation, or the rights of any third party;
- Your use of, or inability to use, the Site, its content, or its services.
This obligation applies regardless of whether such claims arise directly or indirectly from your actions, misuse of the Site, or failure to comply with applicable terms.
RELEASE
In the event that you experience a dispute with any travel service provider—including, but not limited to, airlines, hotels, cruise lines, rail companies, car rental agencies, tour operators, consolidators, vacation package providers, activity suppliers, traveler assistance providers, or travel protection/insurance providers—you agree to fully release Farehutz.ca, Holiay Breakz Group LLC, and all of our officers, directors, employees, agents, subsidiaries, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, or damages (whether direct, indirect, actual, or consequential), of any kind, known or unknown, arising out of or in any way connected to such disputes.
As Farehutz.ca acts solely as an intermediary and does not control the performance, actions, or obligations of these independent suppliers, any issues or disputes related to their services must be resolved directly with the respective provider.
PRIVACY
We encourage you to review our Privacy Policy, which governs your use of the Farehutz.ca website and explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information. By accessing or using our Site and services, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with how your information may be collected, processed, transferred, or used as outlined in our Privacy Policy, you should discontinue use of our Site and services.
ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS
By using the Farehutz.ca website and services, you consent to receive communications from us in electronic form. These communications may include emails, text messages, in-app notifications, or alerts and announcements posted directly on the Farehutz.ca website.
You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, updates, and other communications that we provide to you electronically meet any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. You acknowledge that electronic delivery is an acceptable and effective means of receiving information from us.
SITE USAGE AND TICKET PURCHASE
By using the Farehutz.ca website, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and possess the legal authority to enter into binding agreements and to use this Site in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. You agree to be financially responsible for all activity conducted through your account, including any bookings made by individuals under your direction or control.
You further warrant that:
- All information you provide on the Site—whether on your own behalf or on behalf of others—is truthful, accurate, and complete.
- No traveler associated with your booking is an unaccompanied minor.
- You will not make speculative, false, or fraudulent reservations.
- You will only use the Site to make legitimate travel purchases for yourself or for another person for whom you are legally authorized to act.
Misuse or overuse of the Site’s booking features may result in restricted access or denial of service.
Offers, Pricing, and Sale Conditions
All fares, offers, service conditions, and Charges displayed on the Site may be subject to:
- Changes without prior notice
- Advance purchase rules or eligibility requirements
- Seating limitations and capacity controls
- Travel day, date, holiday, seasonal, or blackout restrictions
- Minimum or maximum stay requirements
- Stopover or waitlisting rules
- Reservation validity limitations (typically up to one year; extensions may involve penalties or restrictions)
- Other conditions or restrictions imposed by travel suppliers
Availability is not guaranteed, and lower prices may be accessible at times.
If your travel itinerary includes a destination or stop outside your country of departure, the Warsaw Convention or other international treaties may apply. These agreements may limit the liability of air carriers for personal injury, death, or damage to baggage.
Reservation and Payment Verification
A reservation is not considered complete until it has been fully processed, confirmed, and ticketed.
To help protect our customers and prevent fraud, Farehutz.ca conducts verification with your credit or debit card issuer to confirm:
- The billing address provided is accurate
- The card verification number (CVV/CVC) is valid
- The transaction is authorized by the issuing institution
Until payment information is successfully verified, all fares are subject to change. Farehutz.ca is not responsible for:
- Transactions declined by your card issuer
- Delays caused by an inability to verify billing or security information
- Price changes or additional charges that occur during the verification process
In some cases, an authorization hold may be placed on your card during attempted payment. If the booking is not completed, this hold may temporarily reduce your available credit until your bank releases it. Farehutz.ca has no control over the duration of such holds.
LINKS
For your convenience, the Farehutz.ca website may contain links to third-party websites or resources. These links are provided solely as a user service and do not constitute an endorsement, approval, or recommendation of the content, products, services, or policies found on those external sites.
Farehutz.ca and Holiay Breakz Group LLC have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the accuracy, security, legality, or content of any third-party website. If you choose to access any external sites linked from our Site, you do so entirely at your own risk.
CHANGES TO FLIGHTS ALREADY PURCHASED
All itinerary changes are strictly governed by the fare rules and policies established by the airline or other applicable travel providers. In nearly all cases, tickets, hotel reservations, car rentals, vacation packages, and cruise bookings offered through Farehutz.ca do not permit date changes, name changes, or other modifications once the booking has been completed.
Farehutz.ca does not guarantee and is not responsible for the fulfillment of any modified booking requested by you if the change results in an updated itinerary created or altered by the Partner Travel Supplier. Any adjustments to your reservation remain subject to the supplier’s approval and pricing rules.
EXCHANGE FEES
For itineraries where changes are permitted under the airline or supplier’s fare rules, additional fees will apply. The total cost of changing or exchanging a ticket typically includes:
- Farehutz.ca service fees (“Our Fees”)
- Partner Travel Supplier fees (determined by the airline or supplier)
- Any fare difference between the original price and the new itinerary
Because fees and fare differences vary by airline and availability, you must contact our customer support team to obtain the exact cost of exchanging your ticket. All quoted fees are subject to change without notice.
Farehutz.ca Exchange Fee Guidelines
(Excludes Partner Travel Supplier fees and fare difference)
| Ticket Value (CAD) | Farehutz.ca Exchange Fee per Passenger (CAD) |
|---|---|
Under C$1,000 |
Up to C$200 |
C$1,000 or more |
C$200 or 15% of the ticket value, whichever is higher |
These service fees reflect our administrative costs for processing itinerary modifications and do not include any additional charges imposed by airlines or other travel providers.
CANCEL AND EXCHANGE
All airline tickets purchased through Farehutz.ca are non-refundable. In limited circumstances, and only when permitted by the airline’s fare rules, you may be eligible to receive a future travel credit for use on the same airline. This credit is subject to airline-imposed conditions, including:
- Applicable service fees
- Any fare difference at the time of rebooking
- Travel validity periods
- Expiration dates determined by the airline
Because these rules vary, customers must speak with a Farehutz.ca customer service agent for specific details.
We do not guarantee the availability of cancellations or credits.
Cancellation Requirements
If cancellation is permitted under the airline’s fare rules, the booking must be canceled prior to the scheduled departure time of the first flight segment. Cancellations must be initiated by calling our customer service team.
Farehutz.ca charges a non-refundable cancellation fee of CAD $50 per person, per ticket, which is collected at the time of cancellation and retained by us. Airline-imposed fees or restrictions may also apply.
Any travel credit issued will be held for a limited time. You are responsible for confirming the exact expiration date with our customer service agent. Failure to use the credit before its expiration will result in forfeiture of the entire credit amount.
Rebooking Using a Credit
When you are ready to rebook new travel using your airline credit, additional charges may apply, including:
- Fare difference between the original ticket and the new itinerary
- Farehutz.ca service fees (if applicable)
- Airline or Partner Travel Supplier fees
All exchanges are governed entirely by airline rules and availability. Farehutz.ca does not make any guarantees regarding change eligibility, cost, or approval.
If you wish to cancel your booking and pursue a refund rather than a credit, please refer to our Refunds Policy. For modifying travel dates or routing, please consult our Change Policy.
Domestic Travel
For the purposes of this policy, domestic travel refers to travel within the United States and Canada.
Additional Disclaimer
Farehutz.ca does not make any additional representations regarding cancellations or exchanges beyond what is stated herein. Our agents will make reasonable efforts to assist you in locating suitable replacement flights and rebooking based on availability and airline requirements, but outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
CANCEL AND REFUND
All charges—including FareHutz.ca service fees—for airline tickets, hotel reservations, prepaid car rentals, and vacation packages are NON-REFUNDABLE. Travel Protection may be refunded within 10 days of purchase, provided that travel has not yet begun and you contact our customer service team by phone to cancel.
All cancellations must be completed by telephone.
Refund Eligibility
A refund may be possible only if all the following conditions are met:
- You have requested cancellation and refund through FareHutz.ca, and the airfare or product rules allow for a refund.
- You are not classified as a “no show.” Most no-show bookings are ineligible for refunds or waivers from suppliers.
- A waiver is granted by the applicable Partner Travel Supplier (airline, hotel, car rental provider, etc.) that authorizes refund processing.
Even when all conditions are met, we cannot provide an exact timeline for refund completion. Refunds are processed in the order they are received.
Refund Processing Procedure
Once a customer service agent submits your cancellation request, you will receive an acknowledgment email containing a tracking number. This message confirms receipt of your request but does not guarantee refund approval.
After receiving your request, we will work directly with Partner Travel Suppliers according to their policies to attempt to obtain a waiver or refund authorization. We will notify you once the supplier provides a decision.
Please note:
- FareHutz.ca is fully dependent on suppliers for refund approval.
- After a refund is approved by a supplier, it may take additional time for the credit to appear on your credit card statement.
Refund Fees
If a refund is authorized, the following charges apply:
- Partner Travel Supplier fees, as determined by the supplier.
- FareHutz.ca Refund Processing Fee:
CAD $50.00 to CAD $300.00 per passenger, per ticket.
These fees are charged only when a refund is approved by the supplier or when a waiver permitting a refund has been granted.
If a refund request is ultimately denied by the supplier, FareHutz.ca will refund any refund-processing fees charged by us.
Please understand that the entire refund process may take 60–90 days from the time we receive your request until the credit appears on your statement.
CANCELLATION PASSWORD
To protect your information, FareHutz.ca uses a secure Cancellation Password verification process.
When you request a cancellation, our agents will send a unique Cancellation Password to the email address used during booking.
You must provide this password to the agent when asked in order for us to complete your cancellation.
In some situations, your cancellation may be completed through the secure link included in the email.
If you are unable to access your email or provide the Cancellation Password, we may be unable to process your cancellation request.
The Cancellation Password is valid for 3 hours.
If it expires before your request is processed, please contact us again to obtain a new password.

Promo Codes and Coupon Codes (“Promo Codes”) issued by FareHutz.ca may be valid for certain online purchases. Some Promo Codes may be redeemable only by phone through our customer service center, as indicated in the promotional offer.

Promo Code Limitations
- The maximum discount available from any Promo Code is limited to the portion of FareHutz.ca service fees, up to 70%, unless otherwise stated.
- Promo Codes are non-transferable, may not be sold, traded, or bartered, and have no cash value.
- Promo Codes may not be combined with any other discounts or promotional offers.
Redemption Requirements
- To receive the discount, a valid Promo Code must be entered at checkout in the Promo Code field on the payment page.
- If the Promo Code is not entered at checkout, no discount will be applied and the Promo Code will be considered unused and without value.
- If a technical issue prevents the Promo Code from being applied or the Promo Code field does not appear, you may choose not to complete the purchase. However, discounts cannot be applied retroactively under any circumstances after the purchase is completed.
Offer Modifications and Errors
- Promo Code offers may be changed, updated, or withdrawn at any time without notice, even if displayed on third-party websites.
- If a Promo Code is withdrawn, it becomes immediately invalid and will not be accepted by the system. You may choose to continue your purchase at the original price or discontinue the transaction.
- The final price shown at checkout—with or without a Promo Code—is the exact amount that will be billed. No credits, adjustments, or refunds will be issued after purchase for any Promo Code-related reason.
- FareHutz.ca reserves the right to decline or cancel any booking that was completed using a Promo Code that contained an incorrect, invalid, or erroneous discount value, even if a booking confirmation or receipt has been issued.
Technical Limitations
- In the event of any technical malfunction preventing use of a Promo Code, your sole remedy is to refrain from completing the purchase.
- If a Promo Code fails to apply for any reason during checkout, its discount value is forfeited and cannot be applied afterward.

FARE CHANGES
All bookings made through FareHutz.ca remain unconfirmed until the ticket has been issued. Airline fares and availability may change at any time, and such changes may occur even after you receive an initial booking confirmation.
If a fare change occurs before ticketing is completed, we will inform you as soon as possible. FareHutz.ca assumes no financial or other liability for any fare increases that occur prior to ticket issuance.
Upon notification of a fare change, you may choose to:
- Proceed with the booking at the updated fare; or
- Cancel the booking at no cost, provided that your ticket has not yet been issued and your payment has not been finalized.
No cancellation fees will apply in these circumstances.
Once your ticket has been paid in full and issued, the price is guaranteed and no fare increases will be applied.
PAYMENT ACCEPTANCE POLICY
FareHutz.ca accepts major credit and debit cards issued in Canada, the United States, and other eligible countries listed on our billing page. AE/AP billing addresses are also supported.
Please note that airfares are not guaranteed until the ticket has been issued. Submitting your payment does not ensure fare availability. If your payment cannot be processed for any reason, we will notify you within 24 hours. Should a fare change occur during payment processing, we will inform you of the updated fare. You may choose to decline the transaction, and in such cases, no charges will be applied.
We offer a 100% Safe and Secure Online Payment Guarantee. For more details, please refer to our Safe Purchase Guarantee.
Hotel, car rental, and tour/activity reservations are confirmed only when complete confirmation details are sent to the email address provided at the time of booking. Some services may require pre-payment before confirmation can be issued.
To protect our customers and prevent fraudulent activity, certain transactions may be flagged as high-risk by our security systems. Such transactions will not be processed until our verification team has confirmed their legitimacy. As part of this process, we may contact you or your bank for verification, and the cardholder may be asked to complete a credit card authorization form.
TICKET DELIVERY
Most reservations processed through FareHutz.ca are issued as electronic tickets (e-tickets). However, certain itineraries or airline requirements may necessitate the issuance of a paper ticket. In such cases, shipping charges may apply. These charges will be displayed prior to completing your booking, allowing you the option not to proceed if you prefer to avoid shipping fees.
If an e-ticket cannot be issued or if another physical product or service must be delivered, FareHutz.ca will send the required item through a secure, reputable carrier service. Applicable shipping fees will be charged to the credit card used during booking, at the rates published on our website.
FareHutz.ca is not responsible for delays, errors, or service failures caused by the delivery carrier. While we will make reasonable efforts to assist with redelivery when possible, we cannot guarantee timely redelivery.
If an incorrect or incomplete shipping address is provided, any additional fees charged by the carrier to correct or redirect the shipment will be billed to the same credit card used for purchase.
For bookings where an e-ticket is successfully issued, all ticket information will be accessible through the FareHutz.ca site.
Credit / Debit Card Payments Terms
1. Billing Address Requirements
- Credit cards must have a verifiable billing address in the U.S., Canada, or another accepted country (as listed during checkout).
2. Booking Is Not Guaranteed Until Ticketed
- Submitting payment does not guarantee your booking.
- Airfares are only guaranteed once the ticket is issued.
- Hotels, rentals, and packages are only guaranteed after you receive an email with a confirmation number.
- If the company must place funds into a trust account, they will do so.
3. Payment Authorization Holds
- When you enter your card information, Farehutz.ca requests authorization for the expected charge.
- This places a temporary hold on your funds.
- If the booking cannot be confirmed, Farehutz.ca will request that your bank release the hold—but your bank controls the timing.
4. Card Declines
- If your card is declined for any reason, Farehutz.ca will notify you within 24 hours.
- A submitted card does not mean the ticketing is guaranteed.
5. Reasons Payment Might Fail
Your card might not be charged if:
- The airline cannot confirm the booking.
- The fare increased before ticketing.
- Insufficient credit or funds.
If a fare increases:
- You will be offered alternatives.
- You may cancel for no fee.
Once your ticket is issued at the quoted price, it becomes non-refundable and non-cancellable.
6. Fraud Prevention
- Farehutz.ca uses strict security and reports fraudulent transactions to security agencies and law enforcement.
7. Your Responsibilities as a Customer
- You agree to be responsible for all charges made on your card.
- You agree not to dispute charges after receiving your tickets or services.
- If you initiate an improper chargeback, you must reimburse Farehutz.ca.
8. Recorded Transactions
- Calls with customer service involving credit card payments may be recorded and used as evidence in disputes.
- Online transactions are considered authorized when you accept the terms and continue the purchase.
9. High-Risk Transactions
- Some purchases may be flagged as high-risk.
- Farehutz.ca may pause processing until:
- They contact you or your bank, and/or
- You complete a credit card authorization form.
Credit Card Declines Policy
- If your credit card is declined during payment processing, Farehutz.ca will try to notify you by email within 72 hours.
- You should not create a new booking, because Farehutz.ca will try processing your payment again within 24 hours.
- If the card remains declined, the transaction will not go through.
- Nothing is guaranteed in the booking—including fare and details—until payment is successfully processed.
- If the fare changes before the payment is processed, you have the right to cancel at no cost, with no service fees.
TERMINATION
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without liability, to suspend or terminate your access to all or any part of the Farehutz.ca website and services, with or without prior notice, for any reason or no reason. Upon termination, your right to use the Site will immediately cease, and we may, at our discretion, cancel any pending transactions or restrict future access.
SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, such provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. Any such invalidity or unenforceability shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the other provisions of these Terms and Conditions.
NO WAIVER
No failure or delay by Farehutz.ca in enforcing any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall be deemed a waiver of any of its rights, whether relating to past or future conduct by any person. Neither the acceptance of any payment by Farehutz.ca nor the reliance of any party on Farehutz.ca’s actions shall be considered a waiver of any provision of these Terms and Conditions. Any waiver of rights shall be effective only if expressly set out in a written document signed by an authorized representative of Farehutz.ca.
DATA SCRAPING
If you misuse or abuse this Site through excessive automated requests, data scraping, screen scraping, or similar activities, Farehutz.ca reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate your access to the Site without prior notice.
BAGGAGE POLICY ON CONNECTING FLIGHTS
When your itinerary includes connecting flights operated by two or more airlines, you may be required to collect your checked baggage at the connecting airport and re-check it with the next airline before continuing your journey. In such cases, baggage allowances do not always transfer between carriers, and any excess baggage fees may apply separately for each airline involved.
Please note that many airlines now charge baggage fees, including for the first checked bag. We recommend traveling light to help minimize these additional costs.
To view airline-specific baggage fees, please visit our “Baggage Fees” page or follow the baggage information links provided on our website. Baggage fees typically range from 15 CAD to 50 CAD or more per checked bag, depending on the airline, bag size, and weight. All baggage fees must be paid directly to the airline at the time of check-in.
While Farehutz.ca makes every effort to keep baggage fee information up to date, policies and pricing are subject to change. We strongly recommend contacting the airline directly for the most accurate and current baggage rules and fees.
BAGGAGE POLICY AND FEES
If you are traveling with excess baggage, you will be required to pay any excess baggage fees charged by each airline. Most airlines now apply baggage fees even for the first checked bag. We recommend traveling light to help reduce these additional costs.
To find specific baggage check-in fees for each airline, please visit our “Baggage Fees” page or follow the baggage fee links available on our website. Baggage fees typically range from 15 CAD to 50 CAD or more per checked bag, depending on the airline as well as the size and weight of your luggage. All baggage fees must be paid directly to the airline at the time the service is used.
Farehutz.ca makes every effort to keep baggage fee information current; however, baggage policies and fees can change frequently. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, we strongly recommend contacting the airline directly.
CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION FORMS
For certain high-risk transactions—including, but not limited to, one-way international tickets, bookings originating outside of Canada, or any other transactions identified as high risk by our systems—Farehutz.ca may require the cardholder to complete a Credit Card Authorization Form.
Fares are not guaranteed until the completed authorization form is received, verified, and the ticket has been issued. All tickets become NON-REFUNDABLE once issued.
If a fare increase occurs during the credit card verification process, you will be informed, and you will have the right to cancel the booking at no cost to you.
MULTIPLE AIRLINES ITINERARIES
If your itinerary includes flights operated by more than one airline, separate fare rules will apply for each carrier. This means that different policies and conditions—such as baggage fees, change fees, refund eligibility, schedule change procedures, and check-in requirements—may apply for each segment of your journey. Each airline may assess its own charges for changes, refunds, or exchanges.
In the event of a schedule change or cancellation by you or by any airline, the other airline(s) included in your itinerary are not obligated to issue a refund, rebook you, or adjust your itinerary. You are responsible for complying with the terms, conditions, and policies of each airline involved in your booking, including but not limited to baggage restrictions, check-in times, and travel document requirements.
We strongly recommend printing or saving all e-ticket confirmations for every airline in your itinerary, as you may be required to present proof of onward or return travel.
AIRLINE SCHEDULE CHANGES / FLIGHT CANCELLATIONS
Airline Policies on Schedule Changes
Each airline maintains its own policies and procedures regarding schedule changes and cancellations. Farehutz.ca does not control these decisions and has no authority to override airline rules.
What Is a Schedule Change or Cancellation? Why Does It Happen?
Airlines may modify their flight schedules for a variety of operational or commercial reasons. These adjustments may affect future flights or take place on the same day of travel. Schedule changes may include:
- Flight number changes
- Departure/arrival time changes
- Routing changes
- Date changes
- Full or partial flight cancellations
What Are Cancellations?
A cancellation occurs when an airline permanently or temporarily discontinues service to specific cities, routes, or certain days of the week.
Common Reasons for Schedule Changes or Cancellations
- High or low seasonal travel demand
- Terminal or gate changes
- Fluctuating fuel prices
- Weather conditions or natural disasters
- Civil unrest
- Airline restructuring or bankruptcy
- Other operational requirements
Farehutz.ca assumes no liability for cancelled flights, missed connections, or disruptions resulting from airline schedule changes.
Farehutz.ca Policy on Schedule Changes
We make every effort to notify customers of schedule changes provided to us by the airline. However, it remains the traveler’s responsibility to reconfirm flight details directly with the airline 24–72 hours before departure.
Prior to Departure
If an airline changes a flight within 4 hours of the originally scheduled departure or arrival time, we will notify you by email. We may also attempt to call you; however, if we cannot reach you, the email notice will be considered final.
Tickets will remain non-refundable for schedule changes within 4 hours. Certain fare types may remain non-refundable even when the schedule change exceeds 4 hours, depending on the airline’s rules.
Farehutz.ca is not responsible for missed flights, missed connections, or additional costs resulting from any airline-initiated schedule change.
Day of Departure
If you are already at the airport and a schedule change or cancellation occurs, you must speak directly with an airline representative at the airport. During severe weather or other operational disruptions, rebooking options may be limited. Weather issues at connecting or destination cities may also affect your flight even if conditions appear normal at your departure point.
Travelers should regularly check:
- The airline’s website
- Airport status updates
- Local or destination weather advisories
Customer Obligations
To avoid disruptions, customers must:
- Reconfirm flights with the airline 24–72 hours prior to departure
- Monitor email regularly for updates from Farehutz.ca or the airline
- Respond promptly to avoid losing available rebooking options
Failure to comply may result in:
- Missing your flight
- Losing the full value of the ticket
- Limited or unavailable rebooking alternatives
How We Notify Customers
Depending on your departure date and when we receive airline updates, Farehutz.ca will make reasonable efforts to:
- Send multiple email notifications (minimum of three, when time permits)
- Make at least one phone call
If you do not contact Farehutz.ca or the airline before departure, you may lose the ability to rebook or retain the value of your ticket.
Services Provided by Farehutz.ca
Once you contact us regarding a schedule change, we will:
- Reach out to the airline on your behalf
- Request rebooking options (subject to availability and airline policy)
- Seek alternatives if available
- In some cases, pursue cancellation and refund options if permitted by the airline
If Re-Protection Is Not Possible
If the airline cannot re-accommodate you on a new flight, Farehutz.ca will:
- Request a refund from the airline, if permitted
- Communicate the airline’s decision to you
Refund approval is solely at the discretion of the airline.
Assistance in Case of Flight Cancellation
Farehutz.ca can assist by:
- Contacting the airline
- Reviewing alternative flight options
- Discussing any refund options available under the airline’s policies
UNACCOMPANIED MINOR POLICY
Airlines establish their own rules, age requirements, and fees for children between the ages of 16 and 18 (age range varies by airline) who are traveling without adult supervision. Because these policies may change at any time, it is the customer’s responsibility to verify all requirements directly with the airline before booking and before travel.
Please note the following general guidelines, which may differ between airlines:
- Some airlines do not permit unaccompanied minors to travel without an accompanying adult.
- Some airlines only allow unaccompanied minors to travel on non-stop flights.
- Travelers under 18 years of age are not considered adults for the purpose of supervising other minors, even when two or more minors are traveling together.
- Many airlines require additional service fees for unaccompanied minors, which are typically payable at check-in.
You must contact the airline directly to confirm all rules, restrictions, documentation requirements, and fees that apply to unaccompanied minors traveling alone. Farehutz.ca is not responsible for airline policy changes, denied boarding, or additional fees resulting from unaccompanied minor travel requirements.
VISA AND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
All customers are solely responsible for ensuring they have the necessary travel documents, including entry visas and transit visas, for all countries they will enter or pass through during their journey. Visa and passport requirements vary by country and may change at any time.
Reliable information about visa and passport requirements can be obtained through:
- Official government consulates or embassies
- The immigration authorities of the countries you are visiting or transiting through
- The CIBT visa services website
- By contacting us directly
Farehutz.ca is not responsible if you are denied boarding, entry, or transit due to improper or missing travel documentation.
The purchase of travel services from Farehutz.ca does not guarantee your eligibility to enter or transit through any country. It is the traveler’s responsibility to verify all entry requirements directly with the appropriate government authorities. Any information provided by Farehutz.ca staff regarding visas, passports, or immigration requirements must be verified independently and does not constitute a guarantee or liability on the part of Farehutz.ca.
ADDITIONAL ETA & IVL INFORMATION (NEW BOOKINGS)
New Zealand has introduced updated entry requirements for visitors and transit passengers. Effective October 1, 2019, all travelers entering or transiting through New Zealand must obtain an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA). The ETA is typically valid for 2 years.
In addition, all visitors are required to pay the International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL) at the time the ETA is requested.
These requirements apply to a significant number of travelers. To avoid delays, disruptions, or denial of boarding, passengers must ensure they obtain both the ETA and IVL prior to travel.
Travelers can apply directly using the official application link provided by New Zealand immigration authorities. There is no need to contact Farehutz.ca to complete the ETA/IVL process.
Customer service and call centre representatives are also instructed to inform travelers of these mandatory requirements when applicable.
GENERAL RESTRICTIONS
All flight details should be confirmed directly with the airline, as schedules are subject to change at any time. We strongly recommend reconfirming your flight at least 24 hours prior to departure for domestic travel and 72 hours prior for flights to Hawaii and all international destinations.
In most cases, upgrades and standby options are not permitted. Any upgrades or standby requests are solely at the discretion of the airline.
Many discounted fares do not qualify for frequent flyer mileage accrual.
All seat requests submitted through Farehutz.ca will be forwarded to the airline; however, seat assignments are not guaranteed. If you require immediate confirmation of a seat or have special needs—such as seating for passengers requiring assistance or individuals with size-related accommodation needs—you must contact the airline directly.
Farehutz.ca reserves the right to cancel travel requests to destinations that are subject to government embargoes.
Some international destinations—including but not limited to Mexico, the Caribbean, the United Kingdom, and Australia—may charge local government departure or duty taxes at the airport. These fees are not included in the original ticket price and must be paid directly at the airport, if applicable.
A C$26.00 administrative fee will be charged for travel receipt requests for bookings made one year or more in the past.
HUMAN ERROR
If an error occurs during the booking process due to a mistake made by one of our agents, Farehutz.ca will make reasonable efforts to correct the issue at the time it is identified. Farehutz.ca is committed to providing compensation up to the amount of the Service Fees collected for that booking, along with a C$50 coupon redeemable toward a future purchase made through Farehutz.ca within 12 months.
You must notify us of any such errors within 24 hours of receiving your itinerary. After this 24-hour period has passed, Farehutz.ca will not be responsible for errors resulting from human oversight.
ITINERARY RE-CONFIRMATION
It is the traveler’s responsibility—whether the booking was made online or through a Farehutz.ca customer service agent—to review and reconfirm all booking details, including passenger names, travel dates, flight numbers, airlines, routing, and any airport changes. These details must be verified for accuracy and accepted by the traveler.
If you identify any discrepancies in your itinerary, you must contact a Farehutz.ca customer service agent within four (4) hours of completing your booking so that we may assist in correcting the issue.
If you do not contact us within this four-hour window, we will consider the itinerary to be accurate and accepted as booked. After this period, Farehutz.ca assumes no responsibility for any discrepancies.
Please ensure you review, save, and retain a copy of your itinerary for your records.

we are committed to providing a seamless, transparent, and secure booking experience. This Payment Acceptance Policy outlines the payment methods we accept, how fares are processed, and the verification measures we use to protect our customers and our platform.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
FareHutz.ca accepts major credit and debit cards issued in Canada, the United States, and additional supported countries shown in our billing section.
Accepted payment methods include:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- American Express

- Debit cards associated with Visa or Mastercard

All payments must be authorized by the cardholder and successfully pass our fraud-prevention and security validation processes.
2. Fare & Price Guarantee
- Airfares are not guaranteed until your ticket has been issued.
- Submitting payment does not secure or lock in a fare. Airline pricing is dynamic and may change during transaction processing.
- If your payment cannot be processed for any reason (bank decline, address mismatch, incomplete verification, system errors, etc.), we will notify you within 24 hours.
If the fare changes during processing:
- FareHutz.ca will notify you prior to ticket issuance.
- You may choose to:
- Accept the new fare, or
- Decline the transaction.
If you decline the new price, your transaction will be canceled and you will not be charged.
3. Hotel, Car Rental & Tour Bookings
- Booking confirmations are sent to the email address you provide at checkout.
- Some bookings may require full or partial pre-payment prior to confirmation, depending on the policies of the travel supplier.
4. Safe & Secure Transactions
FareHutz.ca uses secure payment technologies designed to safeguard your financial information.
- All transactions are processed using SSL encryption and secure industry-standard gateways.
- We comply with PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards).
- We guarantee a safe purchase environment for credit and debit card transactions on our website.
5. Fraud Prevention & Verification
To protect our customers and prevent unauthorized transactions, FareHutz.ca conducts automated and manual fraud screenings.
High-Risk Screenings
Payments may be flagged for review based on criteria set by our fraud-detection systems.
Verification Steps May Include:
- Contacting the cardholder by phone or email
- Contacting the issuing bank for validation
- Requesting completion of a Credit Card Authorization Form
- Requesting supporting documents (e.g., ID, card image with numbers partially masked)
If verification cannot be completed:
- The booking will not be processed.
- You will be notified promptly.
- No charge will be made if the transaction cannot be validated.
This ensures that both customers and FareHutz.ca are protected from fraudulent activity.
