At Farehutz.ca, we want your booking experience to be simple, transparent, and seamless. This policy explains how cancellations, refunds, and changes are handled when booking with us.

General Overview

  • All bookings made through Farehutz are subject to the fare rules and terms and conditions of the airline or travel supplier.
  • Our own service fees may apply in addition to supplier charges. Please review our Fees & Policies page for details.
  • Refund eligibility is completely based on the ticket type purchased, airline policies, and the timing of your request.

Cancellations

  • Same Day Cancellations within 4 hours of booking and before midnight: Free of charge for most reservations.
  • After 4 hours but before midnight (same day): A cancellation fee may apply.
  • Beyond 24 hours of booking: Airline rules will apply. Farehutz.ca service fees may also apply.

Refunds

  • Many airline tickets are non-refundable. However, if eligible, refunds may be issued according to the airline's fare rules.
  • Refunds are processed back to the original form of payment once approved by the airline or supplier.
  • Farehutz.ca service fees are non-refundable.
  • No Shows (when a passenger does not board their scheduled flight) are typically not eligible for refunds.

Future Travel Credits

  • If a cash refund is not permitted, some airlines may issue a future travel credit.
  • Credits are subject to airline terms, conditions, and expiration rules.
  • Farehutz.ca will assist you in redeeming credits for future bookings.

Ticket Changes & Exchanges

  • Changes are permitted if allowed by the airline.
  • Applicable charges may include:
    • Airline change fees
    • Any fare difference
    • Farehutz.ca service fees
  • Some promotional or discounted fares may not allow changes.

Special Circumstances

  • Certain airlines may grant waivers or exceptions in cases such as:
    • Bereavement
    • Medical emergencies
    • Natural disasters
  • Farehutz.ca will support these requests where possible, but approval is at the airline's discretion.

Processing Timelines

  • Refunds may take 7 to 30 business days or longer, depending on the airline.
  • You will receive an email notification when your refund request has been submitted and processed.

Transparency Commitment

  • The final total price at checkout will always include service fees, airline charges, and taxes.
  • No hidden costs are added.
  • All policies follow industry standards and airline regulations.
